This vintage has been produced
from grapes which were hand picked by
family members from the slopes of "Lapoinya" Oberon
plateau. Edge of
the Blue Mountains N.S.W.
Lengthy fermentation and extended
lees contact in French oak have
produced a wine of vibrant colour and complex characters.
The nose
suggest fresh, clean fruit, predominantly lime or grapefruit
with lovely
toasty wood characters, chestnut and spice. The mouth
feel owes much to
the long fermentation and natural malolactle, providing
richness, length
and weight to the fruit flavours of grapefruit, pear
and spice.
